Our body responds to the way we think, feel and act. Similarly whatever arises in our body has a way of affecting our minds. Our health and happiness thus depends upon how we take care of the whole physical and mental being.
Looking at the sun in the morning, the sound of the gong, drums and music, massage or smelling different aromas or singing can have a healing effect on our body and mind.
Breathing exercises help us calm down. These can be especially beneficial when we are depressed or anxious. Walking is also be a good exercise positively impacting physical and mental health.
Yoga and Pranayam are essential for regulating our breath or Prana. These are slow and wholesome practices that involve the whole body, mind and spirit. The word "Yoga" means "unison".
Different types of meditation- using meditation objects like light, image, mantras, breath and sensations can help calm down our minds in different states. Meditating even for 10 mins daily is said to have immense benefits for our selves.
